Aedis, meaning abode in Latin, is conceptualised for those individuals who need an amalgamation of different spaces to boost their creative potential. Stemming from a personal yearning for a library within a treehouse, this concept was recently visualised for a Workstation Challenge.

THE WORKSPACE
This where all the magic happens! Keeping in mind the dual nature of an Artist and a Designer, the concept allows the individual to adapt this space to their needs. Features like a pull-out A3 drawing board, nifty storage compartments, overhead worklamps, all accessible at arm's length along with the feeling of being enveloped, add to the personality of the workspace.

Who hasn't wanted a tree house as a child ? To be honest, I would still like to have one as an adult.
This yearning, along with the want to have a private space for much needed quiet moments in a day, is what led to the visualisation of this space. The vertical steps to climb up to this nook, is an intentional design feature in line with the nostalgia of climbing up a tree ; while the vertical blinds and the bookshelf help provide solace and peace.
